IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT* * *
As you all know that DEFCON said in its Defcon Lucknow revoking announcement that "DEFCON Lucknow attempted to commercialize based on brand and community". Now it's time to reveal the reality and politicized decision taken by DEFCON.
All DEFCON meets in India held in past were paid either it was DEFCON Chennai, DEFCON Kerala, DEFCON Bangalore or DEFCON Rajasthan. Where were the ethics of DEFCON when these groups were charging fees?
We are providing some links below to show that all DEFCON meets in India were “Paid” with their fee details.

As you can see all Defcon groups in India have taken fee in the past but DEFCON took its unjustified action against us. Isn’t it partiality?
We have served Indian InfoSec with name of DEFCON for over 2 years without any greed. In past 2 years we kept promoting and spreading DEFCON in India and the impact was unbelievable. DEFCON Lucknow became one of the most popular and biggest security events in India. Today millions of Indians know about DEFCON because we have worked hard to make it possible.
It is really very sad that the group which worked hard for the InfoSec industry got revoked this way.
We had conducted 2-day conference where we had international as well as national speakers which included their Air tickets, hotel accommodations, lunch, breakfast, CTF, stationary kit & lunch, breakfast, tea/coffee for attendees and prize. To cover up all the expenses DEFCON lucknow took a very small amount of fee in comparison to other security conferences.
We are heartily thankful to all of you for your continuous love and support and we promise you that we will be back soon more energetically with our own Indian community.
